It is getting harder and harder to come up with the list of the countdown. I cannot believe there are only 12 days left. I am looking forward to having a spacious master bathroom. It will be the first time in my life that we will have a separate shower and bath in our bathroom. We always had a shower and tub together but now it is separate in its own space. The one other thing I am also grateful for is that we will have two separate sinks. The main reason is that my husband shaves and often at times forgets to clean up after himself. It irritates me to no end on how messy the sink can get with his little hairs lying around. But now with two sinks one will be his and he can mess it up all he wants and on my side of the sink it will be crystal clean! Having my own sink is not a necessity but its a nice thing knowing that it is all mine.

I am looking forward to my soaking tub and believe me there will be many many nights where I will be soaking in the candlelight full of bubbles. The other nice thing is that there will be a window in our bathroom. Our bathroom often gets steamy from the hot water and our fans just do not work well but having a window in the bathroom will be a nice change where I can just open the window a crack to let the steam out.

I am looking forward to having more space and room in our new bathroom and not in a small cramped space.

  1. LOL I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh. If your anything like me, you'll WANT to leave his sink all messy and gross for him to deal with, but in the end you'll be the one who cleans it up. Hope I'm wrong! Hope he cleans it!

You're going to LOVE the new bathroom!!! And your post has almost given me the energy to get up and run a bubble bath now! lol

  3. Separate sinks are nice, but what about separate bathrooms?! :) We have tiny bathrooms, but there are 2 of them on the second floor, so there is a boy bathroom and a girl bathroom. Interestingly, although mine is cuter, its usually way grosser. I'm hoping that having a more spacious counter will help that a bit.

  5. Oh yes Im in the CSA as well! (clutter sink anonymous) "Hi, my name is Noreen....and my sink is a mess." On my countdown it will actually be my HUBBY who says he can't wait till we have the separate sinks. He's already given me fair warning. We don't have a medicine cabinet in our ghetto bathroom right now so I have no place for my girly goodies. Can't wait to have proper cabinets!

  6. Great #12 Stephanie. We were both in our current bathroom at the same time last night and I made a comment that our future separate toilet room in the master bath is the size of our current bathroom...that's a huge exaggeration, but you get the idea.

@Ranter - Now that our 2 girls aren't living at home, we have the same setup as you and I think it probably looks very similar.

We are sooo looking forward to having drawers and cabinets for everything in the bathroom.

  7. LOL at the post. In our bathroom we both have the same pet peeve which is hair. I hate when he shaves and he hates my long hair everywhere! So yes separate sinks will be nice.
